“Complete care is worth it”

In the realm of domiciliary care agencies, Complete Homecare 24 stands out as a rising star, dedicated to assisting clients in the community to enhance their quality of life at home. Michael Austin, the valued CEO, emphasizes the company's unique status as a family-run organization, with a deep understanding of the challenges faced in maintaining a loved one's independence while juggling personal and professional responsibilities. Complete Homecare 24 stands apart from its competitors due to this distinguishing factor and the hands-on involvement of its entire management team, all of whom have a background in care and nursing.

Michael holds qualifications in recruitment consulting and business management, along with a master's degree in psychology. He began his career in psychology, studying at Newcastle University and later lecturing at Queens University. He also played Gaelic football for his club and university, eventually becoming a youth team manager. He worked as a sports psychologist at the 2012 Olympics in London and found success with local teams in Northern Ireland. He is a dedicated father to his children, Aodhan and Saorla, and his family and community admire his hard work and vision for success. Michael's loved ones are proud of his accomplishments and grateful for his support throughout the years.

In the midst of the COVID pandemic, Michael and his sister embarked on a mission to assist community members in need of care packages. With the invaluable support of their close friend Sheena, they transformed their vision into a tangible reality and initiated the registration process. Two years on, their aspiration remains steadfast: to extend their assistance to a broader audience by incorporating healthcare professionals such as nurses. Their unwavering commitment to providing exceptional care remains at the forefront of their endeavors.

Navigating the responsibilities of leading the company has presented its fair share of challenges for Michael. From the outset, he and his sister established a clear division of labor: he focused on the business side while she managed the care aspect. Initially, their partnership with Sheena and Roisin Austin, his sisters, and Ciara, his sister-in-law, proved successful. However, as the company expanded at a rapid pace, Michael made the decision to bring on additional team members with expertise in HR, recruitment, and coordination. He now oversees the day-to-day operations, regularly communicating with his managers to stay actively involved in the company's operations. He also maintains a close connection with the service users, constantly seeking ways to enhance the quality of service provided.

Michael believes that when it comes to leading, effective communication and unwavering consistency are paramount in their business operations. He actively organizes regular meetings with caregivers, managers, and service users to identify areas for ongoing improvement. He personally supports his managers and is willing to tackle any task, no matter how small. The organization's solid structure is the foundation for maintaining high-quality care, with caregivers and managers playing a crucial role in its delivery. Michael assumes responsibility for identifying and addressing areas that require improvement, offering assistance to ensure the implementation of necessary changes.

Their care team and management require a sense of support. Michael provides growth goals and bonus schemes for targets, and this works very well, although they are lucky that everyone they have hired fits into their family unit and has a genuine interest in delivering top-quality care while helping the company grow. Under the guidance of team leaders accountable to an agency manager, the teams work diligently to serve their communities. The agency manager tirelessly coordinates operations, collaborating with staff, social workers, service users, and families. The manager's support plays a crucial role in cultivating a culture of mutual assistance within the teams. This spirit of collaboration is evident in the positive impact felt in the communities they serve, as well as in the external support they offer and receive. Through donations to various charities and events in Northern Ireland, the organization demonstrates a commitment to providing assistance where needed. Additionally, they prioritize offering free respite care to unpaid caregivers annually, with plans to expand this support as the company grows.

Closing up, Michael states that there are no rivals in this business, and with their caregivers, they do not strive to surpass others but rather to coexist and support one another in their shared mission of providing care. Their focus is on building connections and fostering positive relationships with other care providers, all with the ultimate goal of benefiting those in need. Their aspirations for the future always revolve around expansion. They are establishing their nursing company, Complete Healthcare 24, and will soon be launching their services in southern Ireland. Anticipation for the numerous opportunities that lie ahead fills them with excitement, as they eagerly anticipate what the year will bring for Complete Homecare 24!
