"Unleash people’s potential. "

Janson Associates, according to CEO & President Kimberly Janson, is all about helping clients win. Their methods are innovative, implementable, and measurable. Janson Associates values resilience, persistence, and transparency. We offer perspective, clarity, ideas, and answers, and we challenge you to grow and hold ourselves highly accountable for all of that with our money-back guarantee. “With 95% of our clients coming from referrals, our reputation and impact is critically important to us so we work hard to be a strong partner and thought leader”, according to Dr. Janson.

Dr. Janson is a visionary with tenacity; she has worked in over 40 countries. She combines substantial and practical experience, academic research, and academic rigour. Dr. Janson shares that there are several fundamental building blocks that enable high performing organizations. The first is diversity. Diversity fuels creativity and, hence, differentiated thinking boosts business success and growth. Our goal is to help create a workplace where people can be themselves and fully contribute to the best of their potential. The second building block is culture. Dr. Janson defines culture as a set of common ideals and advices weaving them throughout everything you do. She also recommends data-based decision making, but advices listening to your instincts.

Third, Dr. Janson says coaching changes the game. Kimberly feels it's best to meet people where they are. A great strategy is to discover how they process information so you can most readily help them. The fourth building block is a strong ability to hire top talent. Dr. Janson points to the fact that people are frequently hired based on their IQ but fired due to a lack of emotional intelligence. She strongly recommends evaluating talent based on four predictive components: intelligence, personality, motivation, and learning agility. (See her new book Determining Leadership Potential for more.)

Because of her deep belief in that the root core of so many poor leaders in the world is poor identification of people who will be good leaders, Dr. Janson is developing a tool to assess leadership potential. In addition, according to Dr. Janson, they will be building their current work by furthering the thought leadership of identifying leadership potential with new studies.

Kimberly, as an entrepreneur herself, advises entrepreneurs on how to develop a strong infrastructure, analyze people precisely, prioritize, have difficult conversations, assess risk, and think broadly about growth while focused on execution. Kimberly organizes their innovative and high-risk mentality.

We'll continue to be a thought leader and offer ideas on how to be individually productive, make businesses effective, and deliver exceptional leadership. Through LinkedIn, our blogs and articles on Jansonassociates.com, and Instagram, we'll continue to share relevant content, says Kimberly.

Kimberly describes a real estate company with few people solutions and a powerful CEO. We helped them build a new set of guiding principles, incorporated them into everything they do, started talent planning to get a better idea of what the business needed and who they had, made a strategic plan, started quarterly business reviews, gave people 2 and 3 levels down from the CEO more power to lead and make decisions, etc., and now they're growing stately.

Yet in another case, a global consumer packaged goods company filled 75% of business unit president posts from the outside but had turnover every 3 years. We built a culture focused on talent management and talent development, among other things, and over two years altered it so that 90% of those roles were filled internally and we had 30 quarters of consecutive growth.

Kimberly, as an entrepreneur herself, advises entrepreneurs on how to develop a strong infrastructure, analyze people precisely, prioritize, have difficult conversations, assess risk, and think broadly about growth while focused on execution. She practices what she preaches in not only founding Janson Assocaites but also owns Legacy Farms. “We purchase, breed, train, and compete with exceptional show jumpers. We compete across the national and soon to be across the globe having horses in Massachusetts, Vermont, and Belgium," adds Kimberly, and says there's more to come.

What's to come for Janson Associates? In addition to working on two additional publications and developing an online platform for a new leadership curriculum, we will also initiate a new research stream on assessments. Kimberly is excited to say that after a thorough meta-analysis of the thought leader study, a lot of research, and 30 years of real-world experience, we have found the differentiators for leadership potential and made tools to help with this work.
