A non-profit (501-C3) organization, Team Management 2000, Inc. is headed by Ms. Ava Faustin, founder and CEO since its inception in 1999. Based on the statement of Ms. Faustin, Team Management 2000 Inc.'s mission is to be a positive force of change for at-risk families and individuals by providing integrated primary and mental healthcare, substance abuse recovery services, and a continuum of support through a holistic and non-traditional approach to educational and life skills training that emphasizes the importance of healthier lifestyle choices, self-sufficiency, and mental and emotional stability.
Ms. Faustin is a native New Yorker, where she received her bachelor’s degree from Pace University in 2005 and her MBA in organizational communication and MPA in nonprofit management from Walden University in 2010. Prior to founding TM2K, Ms. Faustin served in executive leadership roles for 27 years in the finance sector, working on Wall Street for major Fortune 500 financial institutions. To say that Ava Faustin, the founder of Team Management has an adventurous spirit would be an understatement.
Ms. Faustin has implemented and grown TM2K through effective management, leadership, planning, and coordination of activities, including performance management of programs and managing the work of more than 40 employees. She takes great satisfaction in the fact that she frequently supports individuals who have novel ideas and is open to trying new things. This is the main idea of her story, which follows her as she starts new things.
Ms. Faustin maintains program and mission leadership and identifies ongoing resources. With her administrative team, she implements the strategic goals and objectives of the organization and oversees the design, marketing, promotion, and delivery of optimal quality programs to continue to build capacity for the consumers served in Bergen, Essex, and Passaic counties in New Jersey. Ms. Faustin has grown the agency's revenue from $0 to $30k in the first year to a multi-million-dollar agency and has increased revenue 10% annually since the program's inception.
As stated by Ava, Team Management 2000, Inc. is a multi-million dollar, non-profit, integrated behavioral healthcare organization. In 2021, it added an additional designation to its "existing services": Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC), which means primary healthcare services (medical and dental) are offered. It provides holistic services with a multidisciplinary team that aims to support individuals from all different backgrounds in navigating the complexities of behavioral and physical health services in Bergen, Essex, and Passaic counties and surrounding areas. TM2K services include but are not limited to: Substance Abuse Disorders, Mental Health, Ryan White (HIV+), medication assisted treatment (MAT), Ticket to Work Program, Project HEAL, Medical Case Management , YTAP, Mobile Crisis Intervention, and Outpatient and Intensive Outpatient Services. Services are provided to children, adolescents, and adults, residents without addresses (homeless), veterans, and LGBTQ+ individuals.
Networking is a life skill that can unlock boundless possibilities, and no one understands that better than Ms. Faustin. TM2K establishes relationships with other community organizations for collaboration and firm sustainability. The organization also provides community and public relations, ensuring that its mission, programs, products, and services are consistently presented in a positive light to relevant stakeholders. Ms. Faustin and TM2K's Board of Directors work diligently to ensure program goals and objectives are met, work together to meet the proposed fiscal budget to achieve desired program measures and outcomes.
Not only is Ms. Faustin a business executive, but she is also the loving mother of one daughter, Grei Booker. Ms. Booker currently serves as the Vice President of Marketing and Community Relations for Team Management 2000, Inc. Ms. Booker is also the owner and principal consultant of Legacy Builders Inc., a full-service business consulting and coaching firm aimed at helping its clients cultivate, market, and manage sustainable charitable and "for-profit" brands through the design and implementation of compelling business strategies, training methods, events, and programs. A former attendee of Howard University and graduate of Fairleigh Dickerson University, she received her MBA in Marketing from American Intercontinental University in Buckhead. Ms. Booker, like her mother, Ms. Faustin, hopes to carry on herpersonal passion of inspiring and empowering others through her many works and deeds. Ms. Faustin says often to the donors as well as to her team, "Teamwork makes the dream work!" "Let's work together to keep our communities holistically healthy and thriving."
